Antique prints on the art world

This part of the collection is constituted by images relating to the visual arts, mainly those of painting and sculpture. We are talking about works that represent the artist in regard with his activity or aspirations. An attractive compilation of images that evoke situations and episodes from the art from the past and its history. These images show the context in which artists used to work, the ideas they fought for and what their aspirations were, how they showed their work to the audience, who collected their pieces and how, in which ways these were offered in the market. The number of antique prints that present this iconography is limited and rare, even more so if we take into account their value both aesthetically as regarding the historical-artistic information they convey. The works are grouped into five thematic sections: work, collecting and market, exhibits, conflict and debate and ideals and fame.
