The Furió Collection of old master prints is a private collection of prints from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries configured around two axes. On the one side, contains prints related to the art world and to the artist, works chosen for its particular iconography. On the other, includes prints by the great masters in the history of European printmaking, works that stand out for their technical, aesthetic and expressive values, for the qualily of impression and for their beauty.
The two parts of the collection have been exhibited, and two independent books have been published: La imatge de l’artista. Gravats antics sobre el món de l’art (2008) and El arte del grabado antiguo. Obras de la colección Furió (2014). This web site presents a selection of one hundred works from the collection, with the aim of contributing to its spread beyond the exhibitions rooms and printed publications.
